chew soup

The sun has lost it’s bite
grandad teeth that cant
chew soup

after the rain
the pavements sparkle like
diamonds

      the primitive return
      of banging chest
      baring teeth
      flapping pink tongue extends

picking insects from the hair of a lover
      sweaty and tasting of salt
dirty triangle viewed from the canopy
