I’ve seen the decimation of a town when it’s specialist industry closes down

that yo-yo factory where the workers hung themselves from lampposts and just bounced up and down

    Thanks – a good title breeds intrigue! It was originally called’ “The up and downs of the capitalist system”…but the word yo-yo was more catchy.

    I guess this title was literal though, given the poem was about deaths at a yo-yo factory.
