already there

I walked into the office but I was already there, sitting at my desk typing something.
I thought it was a dream but day after day I went to work only to find I was already there.
I noticed that my colleagues liked me more. I was getting better appraisal, more bonuses. I was invited out to more functions and even Sarah from Human Resources had even begun to flirt with me.
I didn’t know who I was but I liked him and as the days went by I began to spend less and less time at work, safe in the knowledge I was doing a damn fine job.
